Course Overview
In this course, learners will write, revise, edit, and reflect on their writing with the support of the teacher and peers. This course will cover how to distinguish rhetorical contexts, practice different conventions, and develop positions concerning research. Learners will also adopt digital technologies to network, compose, critique, and disseminate their work.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- CO1: Create written and digital texts based on context, audience, and purpose (SLOs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
- CO2: Read and respond to peers’ writing and feedback (SLOs 2, 3, 4)
- CO3: Revise and edit their own work (SLOs 1, 2, 4, 5)
- CO4: Apply inquiry-based research methods to find and curate sources (SLOs 1, 2, 3, 5)
- CO5: Use metacognition (reflection) to develop personalized critical reading, writing, and design strategies (SLOs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
