Course Description
The Human Resource Management series is designed to explore the challenges and problem-solving strategies facing leaders in human resource roles. The Foundations level includes workforce planning, human resource development, and employee performance management.
Course Objectives
This course serves as an introduction to the fundamental concepts and principles of Human Resource (HR) Management. It provides a comprehensive overview of the HR function within organizations and explores its role in supporting business objectives. Students will gain a solid understanding of the key areas of HR including workforce planning, HR development, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- CO1: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the role and importance of HR management in organizations.
- CO2: Apply best practices in workforce planning, recruitment, and talent acquisition
- CO3: Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management.
- CO4: Design and administer compensation and benefits programs.
- CO5: Assess training needs, develop effective training programs, and measure training outcomes.
- CO6: Apply legal and regulatory knowledge to ensure HR practices align with compliance requirements.
